Statement as per the Full-Scale Russian Invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022
Eirhub’s Statement as per the Full-Scale Russian Invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022
Following the invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation and the continuation of the Russian war against Ukraine, Eirhub issues the following statement:
In 2014, Russia invaded Ukraine for the first time, annexing the Crimea peninsula and subsequently occupying the areas of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. It caused a lot of life tragedies all over Ukraine, with thousands of deaths and suffering civilians forced to flee their homes. Being comforted by the international community for the previous deeds, reconciled Russian regime committed the act of brutal infringement of international law principles once again on February 24th, 2022, yet with an even bigger outrage, cruelty and imperialism cumulated for the previous years of statehood.
According to the situational report by the WHO (Sept 2022)*, the Russian invasion of Ukraine since Feb 24th 2022, has led to these numbers:
- 17.7 mln people—total population affected by the invasion;
- 7.2 mln people left Ukraine;
- 7 mln people are internally displaced;
- 8,199 people were injured directly because of the Russian invasion;
- 5,718 Ukrainians (civic only) were killed by Russians.
Eirhub is primarily a Ukrainian professional consulting firm founded and acting on European values and doing business practices, which means we adhere to the virtues of democracy, rule of law, respect for human rights and human dignity, and appreciate Ukrainian deep-rooted traditions of hospitality, braveness, stoicism, and creativity.
Therefore, Eirhub firmly opposes the full-scale invasion of and continuous aggression against Ukraine, its sovereignty, and territorial integrity by the Russian Federation. We also condemn the action of Belarus, Iran, and other States that support Russia in its outrageous war against Ukraine due to complicity in a brutal, unprovoked, unjustifiable, and illegal war of aggression against Ukraine.
The company reiterates Ukraine’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, independence, and right to self-defense under the UN Charter and will support our country and its citizens by any means at our disposal.
