Client:
Global consultancy / Global biopharma
Region:
Azerbaijan / South Caucasus
Task:
To design a pricing and access strategy for a specialty therapy in Azerbaijan — a market with fragmented regulation, variable procurement practices, and no established HTA body. The objective was to determine a feasible price corridor and identify viable channels for inclusion in public tenders.
Eirhub's approach:
- Conducted a structured analysis of national pricing legislation, reimbursement mechanisms, and procurement routes.
- Reviewed both registered, early access (compassionate-use / named-patient programs) and unregistered supply models to capture all legal entry opportunities.
- Benchmarked reference pricing across comparable CEE and CIS markets.
- Proposed strategic pricing scenarios balancing affordability and value perception.
Outcome:
Delivered a pragmatic pricing framework aligned with Azerbaijan’s regulatory and procurement landscape. The client adopted the findings to position the product competitively while maintaining compliance with national rules. The project translated opaque regulations into a clear market strategy, helping the manufacturer secure early access in a policy environment with limited transparency.
