On behalf of our client, one of the world's top 20 pharmaceutical companies, we are looking for a successful candidate to fill the Medical Director position.

POSITION OVERVIEW: The key objective of the role is to foster, initiate, and implement at the local level the enhancement of patient-centricity culture and process and to ensure that patient focus is integrated into all selected focus TAs (pipeline and business indications).
POSITION OVERVIEW:
- High education (preferably Medical Degree specialization is a plus, alternatively PhD in Medical science).
- Sound clinical and scientific experience, significant experience in leading positions within medical departments of the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in clinical development/operations and medico-marketing, history of success in launch excellence and pipeline management.
- Advanced in English is a must.
- Excellent Leadership skills.
- Requires excellent analytical skills and makes evaluative judgment & strategic decision based on business priorities.
- Analyses information that is both factual and qualitative and is drawn from multiple sources, internal and external to the organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide ongoing medical and regulatory expertise and input to regional business.
- Provide, as an expert, strategic and pragmatic advice on medical and commercial matters.
- Develop the medical affairs strategy aligned with the global/ROPU objectives, ensuring that medical input is maximized during strategy planning.
- Ensure that appropriate procedures for the release of local promotional materials and publications are in place and adhered to.
- Ensure excellence in launch readiness plans and prioritize early pipeline planning.
- Quality of medical affairs activities and MSL interactions
- Embrace patient-centricity strategic engagements with patients’ organizations when applicable.
- Ensure involvement of the medical affairs team in the patient's journey development.
- Full utilization of medical operations and ensure medical affairs KPIs adherence.
- Ensure high professional standards are applied for all interactions with healthcare professionals and advisory board organizations.
- Input into local regulatory strategies. Support local Regulatory Affairs teams with day-to-day coaching and in communication with health authorities. Support communication with Global PV and Regulatory Affairs.
- Ensure that an adequate regional structure for PV is in place and that all internal and external obligations in PV are adhered to.
- Coach and lead the medicine team.
- Ensure individual and team development plans are in place.
- Enhance talent development initiatives and people growth and capabilities development.
- Ensure the recruitment of talented individuals and build a high-performing team.
- Identification of areas to continuously improve productivity.
- Adherence to local budget.
- Relationship management regarding local medical matters with health and reimbursement authorities, ethics committees, prescribers, medical associations, patient organizations, and media.
- Integral part of the OPU business framework through active participation in all OPUs business reviews and P&L exercise, LTF forecast, and patient-based forecast exercise.
