On behalf of our client, a Legal Advisory firm from the Netherlands, we are looking for a successful candidate to fill the position of Legal Counsel (0,8/1,0 FTE) to assist the client’s life sciences team remotely.

About the Client:

The client is a legal advisory firm seasoned in the legal aspects of international business. The client has a strong life sciences team that works for hospitals as well as pharmaceutical companies and medical device companies. The client’s team is well versed in legal aspects of medical research and clinical trials, healthcare collaborations and joint ventures, international grants, healthcare procurement, and overall contractual work in the healthcare sector.

As a Legal Counsel (Life Sciences), you will advise on legal matters related to life sciences projects, including clinical research, regulatory affairs, and intellectual property. You will draft and review legal agreements related to medical/clinical research, as well as agreements linked to the broader operations of hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, and medical device companies. Such agreements may include research collaboration agreements, consortium agreements, clinical trial agreements (CTAs), service agreements, license agreements, or material transfer agreements. 

This position is a remote, work-from-home opportunity, with the option to visit Client’s office in Amsterdam twice a year.


Your Profile:
  • LLM degree from an accredited law school.
  • Legal experience in the life sciences field, preferably at a pharmaceutical company, clinical research organization (CRO), or academic medical center.
  • Expertise in contract law, intellectual property law, and health law, specifically on life sciences.
  • Familiarity with applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines related to life sciences, such as the ECTR and ICH GCP.
  • Experience in drafting and negotiating collaboration agreements, consortium agreements, clinical trial agreements (CTAs), service agreements, license agreements, or material transfer agreements.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A practical approach and business orientated.  
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
